Growing up in Hawaii, food was central to our culture and daily life. It wasn't just a tradition; it was what brought us together and shaped our everyday experiences. Yet, amidst this deep connection to nourishing foods, I couldn't ignore the stark health disparities affecting my loved ones and community. It wasn't normal, I realized, for health issues to be so prevalent, especially given our deep-rooted connection to nourishing foods. This realization sparked a profound curiosity within me about the transformative power of nutrition on our health and well-being.

My journey into nutrition began not in a classroom, but at home and in my community, where I witnessed firsthand the impact of diet on health outcomes. It became clear to me that food is not just sustenance; it's a universal language that holds the keys to joy, comfort, and healing.

Driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference, I pursued a degree in Nutrition Dietetics and became a registered dietitian. Returning to my community was a natural step, eager to empower others to break free from health struggles that shouldn't be accepted as normal. Yet, despite my efforts, I realized I was only scratching the surface—treating symptoms instead of addressing underlying causes. This realization led me to pursue advanced studies in Clinical Nutrition, specializing in integrative and functional medicine. I knew that true healing meant understanding root causes and offering solutions that went beyond conventional approaches.

In my practice today, I focus on each individual's unique nutritional challenges, working collaboratively to find sustainable solutions. I believe in creating a supportive space where every voice is heard, and every journey to health is respected. Whether it's managing a specific health condition or simply enhancing overall wellness, I'm here to provide personalized guidance and unwavering support.

I understand the struggles of dietary changes firsthand and approach each patient with empathy and understanding. By taking the time to truly understand each person's story, I strive to tailor recommendations that fit seamlessly into their lives.

Outside of my practice, you'll often find me exploring trails that lead me to somewhere I can swim, or in my kitchen, experimenting with new recipes. And when it's time to unwind, nothing beats relaxing with a good book or an engaging podcast, accompanied by a comforting cup of herbal tea.

My journey in nutrition isn't just a profession—it's a passion rooted in a deep love for my community and a commitment to making a lasting impact on individual lives. Together, let's embark on a journey to better health, one thoughtful bite at a time.
